so our waiting is nearly over, Christmas is just about upon us. Last night I asked my 7 year old son why Jesus was born, he replied, "so we could get presents". I was a little disappointed in his answer. But that's just it - with all the presents, parties, dinners, TV, visiting family it can be hard to "see" Jesus even if you want to.
So I'm going to use my ears! Babies cry and cry so that no matter what else is going on you hear them. So I'm listening waiting to hear what he wants to say this Christmas.

that's a helpful idea - we've had a crib scene in the past but don't have one this year.
