Lent group book blog

Choose a book (apart from the bible) that has made an impact on your life and thinking - could be from a long time ago or very recently. The hope is to have at least one or two books over the six weeks. Tell us a little of something about the book (and perhaps the author), why it made an impact and perhaps a short extract. Via comments let me know the date and if you can book title.

Readers are then are encouraged to post comments either with their thoughts on the book or with some questions if they've not read it.

Hi Andy - looks like I'm first to go. I can do three posts. One on Love's Endeavour, Love's Expense, by W H Vanstone; another on Living Toward a Vision, by Walter Brueggemann; one on Seeking God by Esther de Waal. If I'm only allowed two I'll drop Brueggemann (who gets his share of exposure on my blog anyway.
How about 2, 9, and 23 March?

thanks Jim - I've stuck you down for 2 posts at the moment and we'll see what kind of response we get.

Hi Andy,
I can do something - not sure what yet. Am I allowed novels or must it be theology/spirituality? And irrespective must it be deep and meaningful or just something that spoke tome out of its triteness?! Happy either way.

Dates-wise I can fit in pretty well to suit

hi Andy- here I come screaming round the corner, last minute as always. One recent big influence for me was The Jesus Way. Also, What's so Amazing about Grace (Yancey). So if you have one or 2 gaps, stick me in!!!
